Katrina was born in 1979 in Vladivostok, Russia. She began dancing at the age of 5 with her coach, Volgin Alexandr. In addition to coaching Katrina throughout her dance career in Russia, Volgin also raised her. Katrina danced competitively in Russia for 20 years.

After several years of dancing competitively in Russia, Katrina began dancing internationally, especially in Asia. She competed all over Asia and in 1998, she competed in the Olympic Asian Games. Once her competitive career was completed, Katrina decided to share her love of dance and became a dance instructor. As an instructor, Katrina has taught children and adults all over the world, including Korea, China, Macau, and Hong Kong. In 2007 she came to United States.

Currently, Katrina is a professional dancer in Pro/Am devision with NDCA, in addition to her Professional dancing with Rainer Ricks and dancing with her students she also teaches social and wedding dance as well as coaching Volga Dance kids team in different locations in Atlanta and Columbus GA. International Ballroom, Latin Dances such as Salsa, Meringue, Cha Cha , Samba, Rumba, Jive, Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Paso Doble…. Just some of the dances that she teaches!!! Katrina also teaches workshops, group classes and is available for private lessons, shows and choreography.
