Matt and I after the competition!

Words can’t even describe the experience I had at the Millennium Dancesport Championships!!! The competition’s atmosphere was like nothing I had ever see before. It was a lot of hard work to get there, but it was well worth it. My instructor Matt Watson and I competed that Wednesday and were thankful to have the support of Eddie Ares and Chasity Smith at the competition, while they competed as well!! The majority of the time I was on the floor, I was just trying to take in the whole experience. I had never done a competition on such a caliber as Millennium, and let me tell you I felt like I belonged on that floor. Seeing the crowd around me watching and cheering just made me feel like what I was doing was right, and that is the greatest feeling I think a person could ever have. If that wasn’t enough I met some amazing people!!

First day I was there Mary Murphy walked right past me!! If you know me at all you know how much I am a fan of “So You Think You Can Dance.”

On Friday and Saturday I was blessed to be able to watch Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruychenko perform! What an amazing performance it was. Definitely one I will never forget!

Last but definitely not least the amazingly talented Emmanuel Pierre-Antoine and Liana Churilova won the Professional Rhythm Competition! I was so happy finally see them dance and not just on my computer screen!!
